Shivamogga, October 7, 2024: ICYM, YCS/ YSM Director Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza visited Youth of Good Shepherd Church, Gopala, Shivamogga, Diocese of Shimoga on October 6th, 2024
He celebrated the Holy Eucharist at 8:30 a.m. He preached a homily on "Family Life and Its Responsibilities." He based his preaching on the day's readings. Rev. Fr. Stephen Maxi Albuquerque, Parish Priest of Good Shepherd Church, Gopala, Shivamogga, welcomed Fr. Franklin D'Souza and thanked him for his visit to the Parish. Being the month of October, Mother Mary's statues were handed over to the Samudayas by him after the prayer of blessing.
Following the Holy Eucharist, the young people convened in the hall at 10a.m. President Avinash extended a warm welcome to Diocesan Youth Director Rev. Fr Franklin D'Souza and their Parish Priest Rev. Fr Stephen Maxi Albuquerque. After a brief prayer led by Fr Stephen Maxi Albuquerque, Fr Franklin D'Souza addressed the assembled youth. He imparted valuable insights on the subjects of "The Essence of Leadership" and "Our Role as Young Individuals in Society and the Church."
Fr Franklin D’Souza was felicitated by the Parish Priest and youth and they thanked him for his guidance. Program concluded at 11:00 a.m.with prayer.
