From March 28 to March 30, 2025, the Church of Our Lady of Vailankanni, Bhadravathi, conducted a Lenten retreat for the faithful of the parish. The retreat was led by Jeevan Jyothi Ministries, under the guidance of Msgr. Elias Sequeira from the Diocese of Chikmagalur.
Over the course of three days, around 600 people participated in the retreat, experiencing a profound spiritual renewal through the Word of God. The retreat was centered on the theme “Pilgrims of Hope,” with various talks focusing on its significance.
On Sunday, eight priests administered the Sacrament of Reconciliation, hearing the confessions of approximately 550 faithful. The retreat concluded with the celebration of the Holy Mass, presided over by Msgr. Elias Sequeira.
Throughout the retreat, the faithful were deeply enriched by reflections on the meaning and importance of Lent, as well as on the passion and death of Christ for the salvation of humanity.
