Report of the Little Flower Deanery meeting
The quarterly deanery meeting was held on 31st October 2022 at Our Lady of Health Minor Basilica, Harihara. There were about 21 participants including the religious. Fr David Dellario led the prayer service. Fr Arun Venil welcomed the gathering. Fr Anthony Peter the dean, presided over the gathering and introduced the resource persons. Fr Duming Dias and Fr Eugene SJ., were the resource persons for the deanery meeting.
They were here to speak on Dioceasan Pastoral Plan and on “Desiderio Desideravi”, the papal apostolic letter on the liturgical formation respectively. Rev Fr Duming Dias gave an input on the importance of having a parish yearly plan, and invited all the priests and all the religious to involve themselves in animating the same along with their respective parish priests.
He also spoke regarding the twenty commissions which are specifically based on the two points namely faith formation and social formation.Rev Fr Eugene SJ., summarized the apostolic letter Desiderio Desideravi, and called upon all the participants, to educate the parishioners about the importance of liturgical celebrations in Christian life.
After these inputs, the dean of the deanery thanked all the deanery members, for their collaboration in the celebration of the feast of the nativity of BVM, which was celebrated on 8th of September in a very grand scale at Harihar. The dean also gave a gentle reminder to the members of the various commissions and invited them to actively get involved in the activities of the commissions.
He also asked them to prepare a planner of their commission and present it to the dean and cordially invited them to participate in the program that will be held at Sannidhi on 11th of November 2022. The meeting concluded with words of gratitude and with a short prayer. After the session all the participants took part in the agape and dispersed.
