On March 9, 2025, Our Lady of Vailankanni Church in Old Town, Bhadrvathi, blessed 11 crucifixes during the Holy Eucharist and distributed them to 11 BECs. This initiative aims to facilitate the journey of these blessed crosses to each family, allowing the faithful to venerate the Cross and reflect on Jesus’ holy sacrifice during this sacred season of Lent in the Jubilee Year.
As part of this spiritual devotion, the community will gather in each home where the Cross is reverently installed, coming together in prayer. On Good Friday, these crosses will be carried in a solemn procession to the parish church, marking a prayerful and meaningful conclusion to the Lenten journey.
