Sannidhi the diocesan pastoral center brought the men and the women of the consecrated life under its wings. It was to celebrate the World Day of the Consecrated Life, a day to be grateful for all their yeomen services in the Diocese.
Fr Stany D'Souza invoked the presence of the Almighty with a short prayer service the ripples of which permeated throughout the event. Rev. Fr Eugene SJ in his 45 minutes long input session beautifully summarized the meaning and the challenges of the Consecrated Life. It was inspiring, challenging and motivating.
This was followed by the Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ. In his homily he said emphatically, that "Nemo dat Quod non habet" meaning, "no one can give what one does not have". First experience Jesus in your lives and then share that experience with others. Talk the walk, preach the Gospel always but use words only if they are necessary.
Fun and frolic of the party games and spot games filled the participants with laughter and vigour. Then Most Rev Dr Francis Serrao, Msgr Felix Joseph Noronha and Fr Stephen Albuquerque felicitated the Silver and the Golden Jubilarians among the Religious.
Rev. Fr Jerome Moras, OCD, the President of the Local CRI, thanked everyone responsible for the beautiful day. There were 129 participants in all. The celebrations ended with a sumptuous festive dinner.
