On 23. 02. 2025 , We, the parishioners of the Church of Our Lady of Vailanakanni, Gandhinagar Bhadravathi embarked on a walking pilgrimage to Shimoga in celebration of the Jubilee Year 2025. A total of 182 people young and old alike set out early in the morning. The journey was led by Parish Priest Fr. Steevan D’Sa, accompanied by 16 nuns from the St. Charles Borrowmeo convent community.
The pilgrimage began at 4:00 AM and reached the Sacred Heart Cathedral by 8:15 AM, where the faithful participated in confessions and Mass. Along the way, participants recited the rosary and sang hymns, making it a soul-enriching event that resonated deeply with all who took part.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Parish Priest Msgr Stany D’Souza, and all the priests who graciously listened to confessions and attended to the spiritual needs of the pilgrims.
