The Prison Ministry India (PMI), Shimoga diocesan unit, conducted a volunteers' orientation program at Our Lady of Health Minor Basilica, Harihar, on February 16, 2025, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Fourteen religious sisters actively took part in this enriching session.
Fr. Regi Jacob SDB delivered an inspiring talk, enlightening the volunteers on their mission to reform, renew, and rehabilitate inmates. It was a blessed occasion for the volunteers to gather at the feet of Our Blessed Mother, reflecting on the graces received and seeking her intercession for the journey ahead. As part of our spiritual enrichment, we had the privilege of participating in the Eucharistic celebration along with the devotees. Following the session, we shared a meal together before concluding the program.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Fr. George KA, the Dean of Little Flower Deanery, for his generous hospitality in providing the venue, food, and refreshments. His goodwill and support greatly contributed to the success of this program. Though brief, the gathering was meaningful and impactful, strengthening our commitment to the mission of Prison Ministry India.
May God continue to bless our efforts as we strive to be instruments of His mercy and love in the lives of those inmates in the prison. Sr. Helen Moras.
