On February 9, 2025 (Sunday), the Church of Our Lady of Vailankanni conducted a free eye check-up camp for parishioners and the public. The camp was organized in collaboration with Sankara Eye Hospital, Shimoga, and held at Providence Hall.
Around 350 people benefited from the camp, with approximately 60 individuals identified with cataract issues and advised to undergo treatment. The Health Commission, led by Sr. Judy, along with the heads of various parish commissions and volunteers, made all necessary arrangements for the event.
Additionally, Aster Pharmacy provided free blood pressure and blood sugar check-ups for the attendees. The camp ran successfully from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The event was a great success, benefiting many members of the community.
