The CRI members of Little flower zone Davanagere along with PMI Shimoga organaised a Christmas program at Davangere District Prison on 21/12/2024. The program aimed to uplift the spirits of the incarcerated individuals, promoting feelings of inclusion and redemption, while reinforcing the message of love, compassion, and second chances.
To bring festive cheer and a sense of hope to the prisoners during this grace filled season the event featured a variety of activities including Christmas carols and dance by the students of St Paul's school Davangere, jingle bells rock by Don Bosco child labour mission Davangere, distribution of gifts, Christmas message by Fr Vishan Monis OCD and Sri Kanta Murthy (the Jailor) and a special meal sponsored by CSST sisters Davangere, which is scheduled on Christmas day.
A special thanks to Sr. Helen Moras SCB, Anand C Bhajantri superintendent Davangere Prison and all the prison authorities, all the fathers and sisters who made this event meaningful one. We pray for the inmates and their families that they may experience the peace and love of Christ.
