On February 2, 2025, we celebrated Bible Sunday at Our Lady of Velankanni Church. During the entrance procession, representatives from the 11 BECs carried Bibles in procession and reverently placed them in front of the altar.
During the Liturgy of the Word, the Bible was solemnly carried in procession by children dressed as angels. The parish priest then enthroned the Bible on the Altar of the Word, offering his respects with a floral garland and incense.
In preparation for the Bible Exhibition, the faithful were enlightened on the importance of studying and proclaiming the Word of God. To ensure the exhibition’s success, each of the 11 BECs selected a subject by drawing lots and committed themselves to contributing their best efforts.
