The missionary families of Christ MFC in the Diocese of Shimoga celebrated their Family day on 28 December 2024 with a series of spiritually enriching and entertaining activities.
Program Schedule and Details:
1 Praise and Worship (2. 30 PM):
The event commenced with a vibrant session of praise and worship setting a prayerful and joyful tone for the day.
2 Inspirational Messages:
Rev. Fr Venil DSilva , the Family Commission Director delivered a short but impactful message emphasizing the importance of family values and the mission of Christian Families.
3 Games and Competitions:
Children's Games:
Engaging games were conducted for children fostering fun and participation.
Cultural Competitions:
Participants showcased their talents in various cultural activities, highlighting the diverse creativity within the community.
4 Prize Distributions:
The winners of the games and cultural competitions were honoured with the prizes , distributed by the Most Rev. Francis Serrao, Bishop of Shimoga.
5 Holy Eucharist (7 PM):
A solemn Eucharistic Celebration was held, with Bishop Francis Serrao as the main celebrant.
Message: The Bishop in his homily stressed the pillars of a good family life: Prayer, sacrifice and forgiveness.
6 Dinners and Conclusion (9 PM):
The day concluded with a fellowship dinner served to all attendees, making the end of a meaningful and joyous celebration.
